The Daffodil

Spring officially arrived yesterday!  I've been working in the yard all week...happily coaxing my muscles back into gardening shape again.  Daffodils have popped up all over our back yard but the first clump to bloom was down by the labyrinth.  I picked a vase full and brought them inside to brighten the kitchen table.  Their happy faces inspired this poem which I wrote this morning and shared with the children at church.
