Our grandson Wesley came for a visit last summer. He love all the flowers in front of the fence. I heard him singing this song as he was happily watering the flowers. We sat together and wrote it down so we could always remember that special day.
Last year our granddaughter, Vivian, was having trouble going to sleep at night. A little girl in her preschool class had told her some scary things that she couldn't get out of her head. One night I decided to write her a bedtime prayer to replace the scary thoughts with goodthoughts. It's the "Sprinkle Me Prayer" and Vivian really likes it. Sometimes when I'm having trouble falling asleep, I say it, too. It beats counting sheep!! Oh, and be sure and really yawn at the appropriate spot! Sleep tight!!
Our granddaughter Maggie was 2 1/2 years old when I wrote this prayer for her last year. She's a very busy girl and I thought she might enjoy recalling all the happy times she's had that day before going to sleep. It's a good thing for big folks to do to!
